crisis inmobiliaria...
Spaniard Francisco Hernandez only plans on living in Toronto for one year, but he'll always remember being in Little Italy when his fellow countrymen beat the Italians.
"In Spain, the fact is this is the most important sport for us," he said yesterday, after Spain's quarter-final soccer win over Italy. "It is very exciting for all of us."
Hernandez, 26, who moved to Canada from Spain in October to work for one year, said he lives close to Cafe Diplomatico, at Clinton and College Sts., where he watched the game.
Even though he was in enemy territory, Hernandez said he wasn't given a hard time because Italy and Spain are both close, competitive soccer countries.
"(Italy) won the world championship, but I think now it's our time," added Hernandez, who noted it has been a "long time" since Spain made it to the semi-finals of a major championship.
